Normandy.

I am really enjoying my time in Normandy France.   Been to Domfront, Vire, Lassay,  Lonlay l'Abbaye and a house.  We are being well looked after at a B&B called La Cloue Chambres d'Hote.

After a great nights sleep at the La Cloue Chambres d'Hote B&B I went to Vire for a special meeting then went to Lonlay l'Abbaye, Lassay for a look around after going back to the house.

A Great Day In France.

After a very good crossing on Brittany Ferries ferry Mont St Michel last night I went to visit Vire and  Domfront and visited a house.  I then checked in to a B&B called La Cloue for a three night stay.

The Mont St Michel came into Portsmouth on time from its afternoon crossing from Caen.

On the night of Tuesday 29 October 2013 I left Portsmouth on the Mont st Michel 22:45 departure.   The Ferry was on time.

A Nice Trip Down to Portsmouth.

I travelled down from York to Portsmouth this afternoon with a stop at Northampton ready for my trip to Normandy France.   All the motorway were fine.

A Busy Day At The University.

I was very very busy at the University of York today sorting out the post, sending packs out, helping Students on Front Desk, typing data and shredding. 

A Great Day Today.

I had a great day today relaxing,  made a chicken Sunday dinner,  had a walk to Askham Bar Tesco and went to a Wedding Party at the Pavilion Hotel in Fulford York.

I cooked Chicken with Broccoli, Stuffing and Roast Potatoes for lunch today. I did very well with the cooking.

A Day At The Football.

After doing the bathroom this morning I had lunch in Wackers before going to watch York City v Fleetwood Town.  York City lost 2-0.

Very Dark Morning In York.

For the second Saturday in a row it has been very dark in York North Yorkshire.   There is drizzle this morning.

A Very Busy Day At The University of York.

I was very very busy at the University of York today. Sorting out the post, making up packs, sending packs out, helping Students on Front Desk,  sorting out people's office supplies, taking registers upstairs and taking Invoices over to Finance Office.

A Great Day Today At York People First.

I went to York People First today. I joined in with the group chat then I did some typing and supported one of the members to do some typing on the computer. I then went for a meal tonight at the Back Bull on Hull Road with York People First and Once Seen Theatre Company.

A Very Helpful Day.

I had a very Helpful And Busy Day Today.  First of all I had a meeting to review my progress over the past year and to look ahead to the next year before going to York Railway Station for lunch before going to work at St Helens Hospital. I then went to get my feet done before hoovering my floors.

I went to York People First today. We were getting ready for the session with the Probation Service in Leeds on 5 November then I did some typing and updated Facebook and Twitter. I then went to Gateway Club tonight.

I went into York and saw the trains in York Railway Station today before going for tea at Mum's house tonight. While in York I saw how popular the City is to tourists as the City was very crowded.

Improved Garden.

A Garden Makeover.

On Thursday 17 October 2013 my garden got a makeover from being largely overgrown to being clear thanks to the help of Brunswick Organic Nursery which is a Nursery in Bishopthorpe which provides people with learning disabilities a chance to gain skills in cooking, gardening and craft making.  They came yesterday and managed to get all the garden clear in just one day.  A big thank you must go to everyone at Brunswick for all their hard work.  

A 1 Hour Trip Home

It took 1 hour to get from Clifton Moor to Dringhouses this evening as there was a lot of traffic between Clifton Moor and York City Centre and around the Station.  You can get from York to Newcastle on the train in the same time as it takes on the bus between Dringhouses and Clifton Moor.

Spaghetti Bolognaise For Tea Tonight.

I had spaghetti Bolognaise and garlic bread for tea tonight. It was very nice.

I had a relax this morning before going to work at St Helens Hospital this afternoon. I have been working at St Helens Hospital since April 2010 where I go to chat to the patients, staff and visitors.  I really enjoy working there.

I had a fantastic day today at York People First. I had a meeting. practiced for our session with the Probation Service in Leeds on 5 November and helped update Facebook and Twitter.  I then went to Gateway Club tonight. I helped support people with bingo at Gateway.  I really enjoy going to York People First.   York People First is a Self Advocacy Group run by people with learning disabilities for people with learning disabilities.

I had a nice relaxing day today and had Pork for Sunday lunch followed by rice pudding for pudding at mum's house this afternoon followed by a bath then had tea.

A Cloudy Day In York With Drizzle.

On Sunday 13 October 2013 I went for a walk to my local Co-Op.  The weather was cloudy and cold with drizzle.   The trees are going brown as it is Autumn.

I have been in very different weather conditions today. - Drizzle,  Mist,  Fog, Cloud and Sun.   It was very misty and foggy on the Pennines today. 

A Trip On The Transpennine Line

I went for a ride on the train on the Transpennine Line from York to Manchester today which goes through Leeds-Dewsbury-Huddersfield-Stalybridge and Manchester with great views of the Pennines and the line goes through  long tunnels.  Both trains were on time.  I visited a Shop during my day in Manchester.

Tadcaster Road was very slow and had traffic jams tonight due to the Race Meeting at York Racecourse.

How To Help Someone with Epilepsy

ACTION - First aid for tonic-clonic seizures

The person goes stiff, loses consciousness, falls to the floor and begins to jerk or convulse. They may look a little blue around their mouth from irregular breathing. Tonic-clonic seizures can last a few minutes.

Remember ACTION for tonic-clonic seizures:

A	Assess Assess the situation – are they in danger of injuring themselves? Remove any nearby objects that could cause injury
C	CushionCushion their head (with a jumper, for example) to protect them from head injury
T	Time Check the time – if the seizure lasts longer than five minutes you should call an ambulance
I	IdentityLook for a medical bracelet or ID card – it may give you information about the person’s seizures and what to do
O	OverOnce the seizure is over, put them on their side (in the recovery position). Stay with them and reassure them as they come round
N	NeverNever restrain the person, put something in their mouth or try to give them food or drink

Call an ambulance if:

• You know it is a person’s first seizure, or
• The seizure lasts for more than five minutes, or
• One seizure appears to follow another without the person gaining consciousness in between, or
• The person is injured, or
• You believe the person needs urgent medical attention

Me and my support made my bed tonight to make it fresh for me to sleep in.

I cooked tuna pasta bake and garlic bread for tea tonight. I did well with the cooking.

I went to York People First today. I updated Facebook and Twitter.

I had a relax today before going to work at St Helens Hospital after going to get some tickets for York People First at the Station.  I then cooked tea before hoovering my floors.

Made Sausages Tonight.

I made sausages,  vegetables and mash Potatoes for tea tonight.  I did very well with the cooking and did it all by myself.

I had a great relaxing day today and went to the Longboat for Sunday lunch where I had Pork.

York Needs A Bus Interchange.

When I went to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster I went on the number 91 bus to Brandon which departed from the Bus Interchange right next door to Doncaster Railway Station.  There was live screens,  A Information Booth and Stands for all buses.  I think York needs a Bus Interchange like Doncaster where all the buses go to. 

A Great Day Out Today.

I had a great day out today at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The Park is very easy to get to by train as the Bus Interchange is right next to the Railway station.  There is lots of things to do there like seeing the tigers and the monkeys.  There is lots of Cafes and Restaurants.   I had  Chicken Nuggets with Beans and Chips.   Thd value to get I in was great.   I had a great time.
